We stand with our customers around the world to support them in delivering high quality care to their patients. An estimated 5 million patients across the globe benefit every day from our innovative technologies and services in the areas of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging, laboratory diagnostics and molecular medicine, as well as digital health and enterprise services. This is what truly matters to us.
This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career as a Electrical/Electronic Engineer.

Are you a passionate Electrical/Electronic Engineer who can support the manufacturing and design of complex, electromechanical medical devices? The successful applicant will be a key member of the Engineering Team with responsibility for providing technical support to the Commercial Product Engineering (CPE) function and Manufacturing Operations for electrical/electronic assemblies, PCBAs and associated subsystems. This includes leading root cause analysis to implement corrective and preventive actions for production or design issues. This role also involves driving changes to enhance our products, improve reliability and monitor component obsolescence management and implementation.

As a key member of the team, you will be part of a highly innovative, multidisciplinary Engineering group working on complex problems to serve the needs of laboratories of any size – today and tomorrow.
Drive engineering changes within a regulated framework including the associated V&V, process and implementation activities required.
Own part and component obsolescence changes.
Drive cross-functional root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), coordinating with quality, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
Own delivery of technical solutions that enhance product reliability.
Provide technical support to manufacturing operations for electrical/electronic assemblies, PCBs, and embedded systems.
Perform component-level failure analysis of PCBAs to support production and field returns to determine root cause.
Support of design changes related to electronic manufacturing test systems, including ICT, flying probe, test equipment and automated test systems.

It would be advantageous to have the following experience:
o Experience working effectively with manufacturing, quality, supply chain and external partners.
o Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM)
o PCB design experience with a good understanding of design concepts and component selection
o Knowledge of power electronics, sensing and control circuitry, cabling routing, computing hardware and integration into a complex instrument.
o Good understanding of EMC, and methods to eliminate electronic interference
o Hands-on experience with component-level diagnostics tools (electrical test bench equipment).
o Knowledge of electronic and mechanical CAD design tools.

Requirements to succeed in this role:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Consideration will also be given to individuals with alternative degrees if balanced by relevant technical experience.
Experience in electrical/electronic engineering, preferably in a regulated environment
Proven track record in problem-solving and root cause analysis in production settings
Track record in supplier collaboration and component lifecycle management
Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
An excellent team player who knows how to work in a team environment.
