We are looking for a skilled Embedded Linux Engineer with strong experience in building custom Linux operating systems. You will be part of a dynamic team working on embedded systems for different innovative Point of Care medical products https://www.siemens-healthineers.com/sk/point-of-care-testing.

Your role:

• Configure custom built Linux operating system for devices with limited resources
• Asses and fix security vulnerabilities
• Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and improve overall code quality
• Mentoring of less experienced team members

Your expertise:

• Knowledge of building Linux operating systems using tools such as Buildroot or Yocto
• Experience with writing or modifying Linux drivers (Kernel modules) is a strong plus
• Understanding of boot process
• Proficiency in C for kernel and driver development
• Security-focused mindset for embedded systems
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Understanding of agile development process
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication in English and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
