Then come and join our global team as Hybrid Virtualization Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hybrid Virtualization Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both on-premises and Cloud virtualization platforms such as  Azure VMware Solution (AVS), Azure Stack HCI, RedHat OpenShift, and VMware technologies. This role is responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and lifecycle maintenance of virtualization platforms. This role will also be responsible to handle day-to-day operational tasks, including incident management, service requests, and change requests using ServiceNow.

Note:  Because the role is required to support virtualization operations in Americas region, the candidate must be able to work from 8AM – 5 PM US Eastern Standard Time.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain virtualization platforms including:
    • Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
    • Azure Stack HCI
    • RedHat OpenShift
    • VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi/NSX/vSAN
  • Perform regular platform maintenance: software updates, patching, upgrades, and backups.
  • Monitor the health and performance of virtualization environments and proactively address potential issues.
  • Manage incident, request, and change tickets in ServiceNow in alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and availability, including DR and HA configurations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cloud, network, storage, security, and application teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support planned and emergency maintenance windows.
  • Plan and maintain the User Stories and tasks in Azure DevOps

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in virtualization engineering or a similar infrastructure role.
  • Experience managing on-premises and cloud virtualization technologies:
    • VMware virtualization environments
    • Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
    • Azure Stack HCI
    • Red Hat OpenShift platforms
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and working in ticket-based support models.
  • Strong scripting and automation background (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible).
  • Good understanding of networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, patching, and monitoring in virtualized and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Certifications in virtualization technologies from Microsoft, VMware, or Red Hat are considered a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation certification – for understanding ITSM practices (preferred).

Your attributes and skills:

  • Strong expertise in VMware technologies including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX and vMotion.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure VMware Solution (AVS) – deployment, configuration, workload migration, and integration with Azure services.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing Azure Stack HCI clusters, software-defined networking/storage, and updates via Azure Arc.
  • Solid knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift – installation, cluster management, upgrades, container networking, and CI/CD integration.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools such as Commvault, Azure Backup, and VMware Update Manager.
  • Skilled in monitoring and performance tuning using tools like vRealize Operations, Azure Monitor and Dynatrace.
  • Proficient in automation and scripting using PowerShell (including PowerCLI), Bash, Ansible, and working with YAML/JSON.
  • Strong understanding of networking and storage concepts including VLANs, virtual switches, iSCSI, NFS, and hybrid connectivity (e.g., ExpressRoute).
  • Experience implementing security and compliance controls, including RBAC, patching, hardened templates, and network security policies.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments, including Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure IAM, and Azure Arc.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and provisioning tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for handling incidents, requests, and changes aligned with ITIL processes.
