Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Frontend Development to design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications for our cloud-based oncology SaaS platform deployed on AWS. The platform is used by cancer patients, clinicians, and healthcare providers and operates in a regulated medical device environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on frontend engineer with strong expertise in Angular, user experience, responsive web development, and automated testing. This role requires close collaboration with Product, UX, Backend Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, intuitive, and high-quality user experiences that support both patient and clinical workflows.

The product  is Siemens Healthineers´s cloud-based software solution for patient relationships and care navigation management. It’s designed to connect cancer patients with their clinics online throughout the entire cancer journey. The product used by 35 000+ active cancer patients and healthcare professionals from leading oncology centers in North America and Europe.  The candidate in this role will provide strong product development leadership to a team of software engineers and test engineers, working in an agile/scrum environment.

Job Description
Position Duties:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive, and user-friendly web applications using Angular and modern web technologies.
  • Build reusable UI components and frontend frameworks that support patient-facing and clinician-facing workflows.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to translate designs and user requirements into intuitive user experiences.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs developed using Java, Kotlin, Python, and Spring Boot.
  • Utilize AI-assisted software development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and development productivity.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, accessibility, security, and usability requirements
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA Engineers, and Architects to deliver customer value.
Qualifications Required: BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.

Number of year’s related experience: 7-12 years 

Special Knowledge / Skills: 
Required:
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on frontend development.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, or Python.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and AI-assisted software development tools.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component-based design, and state management.
  • Experience with Git-based source control systems (GitLab preferred).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Nice to have:
  • Experience developing healthcare products conforming quality system regulations.
  • Experience with AWS-hosted SaaS applications.
  • Experience with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Pendo, or similar observability platforms.
  • Experience in healthcare domain and medical interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7
  • Certifications from AWS or Azure
