Mechanical Design Engineer

Your duties and responsibilities:
- You develop conceptual solutions for mechanical and mechatronic components using CAD and also undertake the analysis of design requirements as well as the implementation of functional specifications.
- You will work closely with stakeholders from product management, R&D teams and manufacturing, as well as internal and external suppliers.
- You ensure the required reliability of the product by means of simulations, calculations or resistance tests.
- You will further develop existing solutions with regard to business aspects and perform analyzes of weak points.
- You implement "design-to-cost" measures.
- You take care of the construction and testing of prototypes and create product documentation that accompanies the entire development.
Your qualifications and experience:
- You have completed a bachelor's degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years experience with mechanical design backed up with real production experience
- You have good design skills in 3D, preferably NX, as well as creating drawings in accordance with standards
- You have good knowledge of reliability calculations and optimization of components.
- Ideally, you have initial professional experience in a research and development environment, particularly in design and mechatronics.
- Ideally, you have experience in the design and production of plastic injection and aluminum casting parts.
- Ideally, you have knowledge and experience in FMEA, FEM simulation and topology optimization, as well as SAP and MKS experience.
Your profile and skills:
- You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, so that you can easily exchange ideas in the team and in contact with various stakeholders.
- You are flexible and open to work in and/or travel to Germany
- You do not compromise on quality: The highest quality standard in product support is a matter of course for you.

In line with applicable pay transparency requirements, the minimum gross monthly base salary for this position is 2700 €.
In addition, this role includes a variable compensation component, depending on individual and/or company performance.
The final offer will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience and may exceed the stated minimum.
