Job Description – Test Architect

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Architect to lead the testing strategy, testability design, and quality engineering practices for our medical software products. In this role, you will shape the test architecture for complex systems, mentor teams on test engineering best practices, and ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

 Test Architecture & Design

* Conceptualize, design, and develop the overall test architecture for the product and its sub-systems.

* Contribute to defining testability requirements and influence software design to improve test coverage and reliability.

* Partner with architects and developers to ensure the solution is designed for testability and aligned with architectural guidelines.

 
Leadership & Mentoring

* Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to test engineers and developers on all test-related aspects.

* Support teams in test design, refactoring for testability, and adoption of automation frameworks and tools.

* Serve as a “Quality Guardian” ensuring the delivery of robust, compliant, and high-quality software.

 Collaboration & Cross-functional Work

* Collaborate closely with software architects, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is built into every phase of development.

* Influence system design decisions by representing testing and quality perspectives in technical discussions.

 

Automation & Quality Engineering

* Guide the test team in designing and implementing scalable test automation solutions.

* Ensure the test architecture supports functional, regression, performance, and non-functional testing.

 Process & Governance

* Participate in estimations, planning, and tracking of test activities.

* Support adherence to software engineering processes, regulatory expectations, and internal quality standards.
 
Required Experience & Skills

 
Experience

* 10+ years of experience in software design and development, with at least 2 years as an Architect or Test Architect.

* Hands-on experience with requirements engineering, design, development, and architecture.

* Demonstrated experience handling Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including performance, reliability, security, etc.

 
Technical Expertise

* Strong understanding of test design techniques, testability engineering, and test automation and DevOps practices.

* Expertise with Object-Oriented Architecture & Design (OOA/OOD) and C .NET.

* Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, networking concepts, and distributed systems.

* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based architectures.

 
Process & Methodology

* Deep understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, including design guidelines, architectural constraints, and testing processes.

* Experience with effort estimation, scheduling, and progress tracking.

 
Communication & Leadership

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to mentor and influence cross-functional teams on test strategy and quality practices.
