Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Laboratory Team Leader (Fixed Term Contract ending December 2027) and you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the R&D laboratory at our Llanberis facility in North Wales. You will also be responsible for the line management of up to ten technicians, and resource allocation of direct reports across various projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in research, analysis and experimentation for product and process development of immunoassays.
  • Allocates resources (staff/analysers) to projects to ensure that project timelines are met.
  • Collaborates and co-ordinates with project leads/R&D manager as required.
  • Communicates and coordinates the tasks in the function and reports them back to the team.
  • Attends core team meetings/element teams as and when required.
  • Ensures compliance, at all times, with relevant Quality and Environmental Standards as documented within the company Quality Management Systems.
  • Develops analytical verification protocols for new application, new assay development or lifecycle improvement projects.
  • Ensures compliance with all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Biological Sciences or related field.
  • Industry experience in Life Sciences, Medical Devices or Diagnostics (preferred) or relevant transferrable experience of several years.
  • Demonstrable experience in laboratory environment.
  • People management skills.
  • Attention to detail, time management skills and teamwork.
