This role offers the unique opportunity to be part of the exciting development of our new Dunstable facility, which is set to become the UK's first 8X Radiopharmacy, with eight times the production capacity of a standard radiopharmacy. Designed with cutting-edge technology, multiple clean rooms, high-energy cyclotrons, and built-in operational resilience, the site will play a pivotal role in expanding access to PET imaging and supporting the future growth of theranostics across the UK. Apply now for the position of Production Manager, and you will play a pivotal role in advancing innovative healthcare solutions by leading our production team to deliver high-quality 18F-labelled PET radiopharmaceuticals.
Your role:
- You oversee daily production operations, ensuring strict compliance with GMP regulations.
- You lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- You develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize manufacturing processes.
- You collaborate closely with Quality Assurance to ensure all products meet the highest regulatory and quality standards.
- You proactively identify and resolve production issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Your expertise:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in GMP manufacturing, preferably in radiopharmaceuticals or sterile products.
- In-depth knowledge of 18F-labelled PET radiopharmaceutical production processes.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements for PET drug production, including MHRA and FDA guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
