We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and operation of highly secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise network infrastructures. This role requires deep technical expertise, architectural thinking, and the ability to drive network strategy across on-premises and cloud environments.

 This is a hybrid position with possible locations in Bratislava, Žilina or Košice.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to and influence network architecture and design decisions within strategic initiatives
  • Serve as a key technical interface between engineering teams and global stakeholders
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of network platforms and services
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure connectivity solutions across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Continuously optimize cloud network architectures in alignment with security and compliance standards
  • Act as a senior escalation point and technical authority for complex incidents and problem management
  • Define and enforce standards, best practices, and documentation for network operations
  • Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and relevant regulatory frameworks

Skills / Core Competencies

  • Extensive experience in designing and operating large-scale enterprise network environments, with expert-level technical proficiency
  • Advanced knowledge of IP networking and security, including VPN technologies, firewalls, NAT, and proxy solutions
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Linux-based networking and modern tunneling technologies
  • Proven experience in cloud networking, particularly within AWS environments and hybrid connectivity scenarios
  • Demonstrated capability in network architecture design, ensuring scalability, high availability, and robust security
  • Solid experience in performance optimization, capacity planning, and complex issue resolution
  • Familiarity with automation and standardization approaches, including scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code principles
  • Understanding of information security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region network environments
  • Proven experience working in complex matrix organizations across multiple time zones and with diverse skill sets
  • Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills
  • Exposure to automation, DevOps, or Infrastructure-as-Code practices
  • Ability to influence architectural direction and drive continuous improvement

In line with applicable pay transparency requirements, the minimum gross monthly base salary for this position is 3100€.

 

In addition, this role includes a variable compensation component, depending on individual and/or company performance.

 

The final offer will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience and may exceed the stated minimum.
