Ready to take on a new challenge within a team of dynamic and passionate experts?

Reporting to the Radiotherapy Service Manager, you will be joining the Radiotherapy Department in a context where, over the long term, IT will remain a key differentiating factor in a highly competitive market. Ensuring fast data processing, continuously optimizing system performance, and preventing any prolonged machine downtime will therefore be essential.

This position is based in Dilbeek (Belgium) but is home‑based.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, upgrading, and performing preventative maintenance on all Varian Oncology Information Systems in accordance with instructions and company guidelines. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Varian customers regarding service and repair needs, ensuring that their equipment operates efficiently at all times. 
  • Operates in a designated field service territory (Belgium) and represents VMS which requires a high level of professional communication with their team, customers, management, sales and other technical support. 
  • Time Management: maintain a schedule to include preventative maintenance installations and upgrades as well as incoming customer calls. 
  • Ability to assess urgency of customer requests and follow-through to completion. 
  • Understand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives.
  • Examine customer issues, diagnose and resolve the issues and meet established customer service levels. 
  • Cost and time control which includes timely completion and submission of field service reports and other required documentation according to Varian procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through the use of good written and verbal communication skills.

How about you?

Profile: mid‑level profile (minimum 5 years of experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in IT or electronics
  • Native Dutch speaker, fluent in English, and French is a plus
  • Personal qualities expected: proactive, eager to learn, strong service‑oriented mindset, curiosity, customer‑focused, committed to customer satisfaction, flexible, adaptable, and rigorous
  • Technical skills required: solid knowledge of IT networks and databases; familiarity with CITRIX or PARALLELS would be an advantage
