We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our global Local Coil development organization. In this role, you will contribute to the sustaining, verification, and continuous improvement of local RF coils used in Magnetic Resonance (MR) systems, ensuring high quality, compliance, and performance throughout the product lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of sustaining activities for local RF coils within MR systems, including verification and validation.
  • Manage and execute engineering change requests, from analysis through implementation.
  • Perform complaint handling, root cause / failure analysis, and life cycle testing.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute verification and validation of design changes.
  • Implement design changes driven by regulatory requirements (e.g. RoHS compliance) and general mechanical improvements.
  • Develop and design mechanical components such as adapters, positioning aids, and phantom holders within a modular ("Baukasten") development environment.
  • Support and optimize production, including localization and ramp-up activities.
  • Apply agile development methods and collaborate closely with colleagues in the global Local Coil team to plan and deliver assigned tasks.
  • Work in close cooperation with Product Owners and technical experts across multiple functions.
  • Ensure achievement of project targets related to schedule, cost, and quality within your area of responsibility.
  • Be willing to travel initially on a short‑term business travel basis to Germany and China.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science, with a focus on design engineering and plastics.
  • Ideally, first professional experience in the MRI environment, preferably in the development of hardware components and their interfaces.
  • Experience working with Supply Chain Management, particularly in process analysis and process optimization
  • Basic knowledge of MR physics and first hands‑on experience operating an MR scanner are considered an advantage.
  • A structured and analytical working style combined with strong teamwork and communication skills in an international environment.

What We Offer

  • An exciting role in a global, interdisciplinary team working on cutting‑edge medical imaging technology.
  • Responsibility and impact across the full product lifecycle of MRI local coils.
  • Collaboration with international experts and exposure to global development and production sites.
  • A professional environment that values quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
