Then come and join our Malaysia team as Regional Data Service Professional, we are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Data Analyst with a strong foundation in data engineering principles to join our APAC Data Services team. You will play a pivotal role in building, maintaining, and optimizing our Data Cloud ecosystem. Your primary focus will be on developing robust data models, reliable data pipelines, and enabling self-service analytics. A forward-looking understanding of Snowflake AI/ML is highly valued, as you will help leverage Snowflake's advanced capabilities to create innovative data solutions for our business users. 

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • You will be a member of IT Innovation and Process Consulting, Data Cloud & Insights APAC.   
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models that support analytics, reporting and downstream applications, leveraging Snowflake, DBT Cloud, Power BI, Databricks, etc.    
  • Develop, optimize and maintain data pipelines and ELT workflows, including data ingestion from databases, APIs, logs, and Excel; data cleaning and data transformation to conduct deep-dive analytics on business data; Build automated jobs like Airflow/ Jenkins to automate data pipeline and track refreshment health. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data models, business logic and transformation processes based on requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, security and access controls across all developed solutions in compliance with IT security/compliance, CBDT and data privacy requirements. 
  • Support the user acceptance test and go-live together with your stakeholders including service owner, project manager, BP managers, business users, suppliers, etc. 
  • Other Tasks assigned by supervisor, e.g. community event planning, training coordinator, PoC, etc.

Your qualifications and experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, BI Engineer, or in a similar data-centric role with engineering responsibilities. 
  • Strong proficiency Python programming skills for data manipulation, pipeline development, etc. 
  • Proven SQL and experience in designing data models (star/snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
  • Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Understanding of core Machine Learning concepts and their data prerequisites.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, experience of delivering trainings is preferred. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues. 
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, business analytics, statistics, or a related field. 
  • Language: English business fluent is mandatory, Mandarin/Korean/Japanese is a plus.
Preferred skills: 
  • Familiarity with Snowflake's AI/ML features such as Snowpark ML, Cortex (LLM functions), Streamlit in Snowflake, or Document AI. 
  • Experience with other cloud services (AWS/Azure) and orchestration tools (Airflow). 
  • Experience with handling SAP tables or T-code. 
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools or low-code/no-code tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, KNIME). 
Competence and Knowledge:
  • Communicate effectively, respectfully and proactively in different daily business situations and with different personalities. 
  • Strong ability to support business users, understand their painpoints and provide solution. 
  • Knowledge in Snowflake, SQL, Python, etc. 
  • Knowledge in agile methods to run data initiatives.
  • Proactively drive the implementation of data solution and monitor operation for assigned area. 
  • Responsible for data solution development in assigned projects.
